Sports World is In the Blood

Kevin Prall has been featured in numerous local news stories. In this 2016 story, he organized a fundraiser to rebuild Tulsa Gun Club after a tornado damaged the facility.

Kevin Prall used to have to have to step up on a footstool to serve Sports World customers. His parents purchased the first location at 58th and Lewis back in 1976. He and his brother, David, also contributed their time and talents to the family business. Starting at the tender age of six, Kevin learned about customer service from watching his parents, Tollie and Jim.

Through the years, the Pralls read and respond to the market, adjusting their business strategy according to customer needs. Their business acumen led to multiple expansions, including the final move in 2004 to their current 16,000-square-foot location. Kevin became a firearms expert in his own right, following in the footsteps of his legendary father, Jim.

Kevin was on his way to filling a trophy room with competitive shooting championships and titles from the National Association of Skeet Shooters when a careless driver ran a traffic light and ended his career. By the time he stopped competing, he’d racked up about 30 national championship trophies and rings.
